On top of the world (or 5th Avenue at least...)

After a long Friday night and a day of walking around New York I was exhausted and looking forward to just chilling out on Saturday night. The Gang (minus the newlyweds) headed to the Rooftop bar. The bar is on the 20th floor of 230 5th Ave with views of New York below - including the Empire State building which was lit up in a US theme on the night.

Thebar is lit with fairy lights and the music is soft so a great atmosphere for chatting and relaxing.

Whilst the area is heated it's still cold so therre is the option of wearing one of their snuggies or blankets! Everyone looks silly - like part of a 5th Ave cult - but that's what makes it lots of fun. Feels like a special treat getting to sunggle up in a blanket outdoors on a Saturday night.

Found out when we arrived for drinks that they serve Malaysian Cusine....damn we'd already eaten! K said "You know it won't be good". Given nobody was there for the food, (only saw one guy eating) he may be right...But I don't really know till I've tried it... and with Nasi Lemak on the menu will definatley have to come back to judge it!
